Permissions Requests

All permissions requests must be received in writing. Please state in a letter what you want to use from our book, as well as how and when you want to use it. It's helpful to send us a photocopy with the material that you want to reproduce clearly marked as well as the copyright page of the book from which you wish to reprint.

In most cases, we cannot give permission to reproduce the photographs that appear in our books. We seek permission ourselves to use the photos in our books and therefore, don't have the right to sell this permission to anyone else. Photographs need to be cleared for additional use, and usage fees per illustration are usual.

Once we've received your permissions request, we will send you a contract stating the fee due to Rosen, if any. You should countersign one of the copies and return it to us at your earliest convenience. It is courteous to allow publishers approximately six weeks to respond to a permissions request, but we will make every effort to respond sooner.
